Simeon H. Calhoun
Simeon H. Calhoun was born in Washington, CT to Mary E Calhoun, Joseph C. Calhoun. Was a carpenter.
He enlistment on September 21, 1861 at the age of 23 as a Private in Company I, 8th Infantry Regiment Connecticut Volunteers. Six other young Washington men enlisted with him: Dwight Hollister, Samule J. Nettleton, Lucius W. Fox, Fitz Greene Hollister, William Black, and Harvery
Perkins. He was discharged for disability on May 11, 1862.
After the war, he married Clara Calhoun and settled in Washington, CT. After Clara's death, he moved to Oregon and married Harriet S. Calhoun.
