John N. Meramble
John Meramble was born in Connecticut 1832. He was married to Maria S. Meramble and worked as a farmer.
He enlisted August 7, 1862 as a Private in Co. H of the 2nd CT Heavy Artillery. He was promoted to Corporal of Co. M on August 30, 1864 and then to Sergeant on May 16, 1865. John was wounded on July 7, 1865 in the Shenandoah Valley and was honorably dicharged.
He returned to Washington and raised a family with his wife. He died in 1898.
