Frank Brinsmade Boudinot
Frank Brinsmade Boudinot was born on May 15, 1836 in New Echota, GA to Elias and Harriet Ruggles Boudinot. After the death of his parents, he and his siblings moved to Washington to live with their aunt and uncle. He graduated from the Gunnery and moved to New York to pursue an acting career. He married a fellow actor, Georgianna Sophie Annie Gimber (Annie Boudinot).
He enlisted on August 1, 1862 as a Private in Co. H, New York 1st Mounted Riffles. He was first promoted on October 9, 1862 to Sergent, then to Sergent Major on December 15, 1862. He was promoted a third time to 2nd Lieutenant of Co. E on April 7, 1864, and then to 1st Lieutenant of Co. G on July 4, 1863. Finally, he was made Captain. He died on May 2, 1864 at Yorktown, VA when his horse fell on him.
